Title and Summary

Director, People Business Partner Overview
The Director, People Business Partner (PBP) role is a pivotal position designed to support senior leaders with strategic People & Capability (P&C) matters such as organizational effectiveness, talent management, engagement, workforce planning, and coaching/advising. Additionally, this role provides daily support to people leaders and employees, aligning with our company's people strategy and business goals. The Director will closely collaborate with two key groups reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO): Transformation, Risk, and Operations (TRO) and Mastercard's Transaction Services (MTS). This role also extends support to US-based employees and people leaders within these groups, and our People and Capability organization.

Some focus areas for this role include creating and implementing the people strategy, consulting with business leaders, performance management, employee coaching, talent management, employee relations, and compensation planning. The Director reports to the Senior Vice President, People & Capability for the Chief Administrative Office and Mastercard's Strategic Growth business.

Role
• People Strategy Execution: Execute the people strategy that aligns with the business goals and growth plans for TRO, MTS, and P&C. Join the leadership teams of TRO and MTS.
• Talent Management: Lead global talent processes for TRO and MTS, including Talent Reviews and the Year-End process. Conduct talent assessments and ensure appropriate development plans are in place.
• Organizational Design and Development: Advise senior leaders in TRO and MTS on organizational design, career leveling, and talent development. Execute and support organizational design initiatives.
• Employee Support and Engagement: Provide support to US-based people leaders and employees within MTS, TRO, and P&C, promoting enterprise-wide solutions for learning & development and employee engagement.
• Coaching and Advising: Guide and empower employees and people leaders to utilize our self-service model for general inquiries, while handling complex matters and leading or participating in projects.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the main contact with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and the Global Business Service Center (GBSC) on program delivery issues. Provide feedback on the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
• HR Operations: Contribute to the daily delivery of local HR operations, partnering with Employee Relations Services on employee relations matters, and supporting employees and people leaders on people processes.

• Corporate HR Processes Coordination: Proven success in coordinating and delivering corporate HR programs and processes, such as talent management and year-end compensation planning, and reporting on progress.
• Strategic Consulting: Demonstrated ability to consult with senior leaders on strategic people-related matters.
• Local HR Guidance: Success in guiding and advising people leaders and employees on local HR issues.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders. Highly self-motivated and driven, able to work well in both team environments and independently.
• Agile Mindset: Demonstrates an agile mindset with a continuous focus on simplicity.
• Business Understanding: Understands key business drivers and uses this knowledge to deliver effective HR solutions.

Pay Ranges

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
