Description

The successful candidate will have clinical training and experience in Geriatric Medicine with experience working in the acute care hospital and/or ambulatory care setting. The position is for an attending physician who will provide care in the ambulatory clinic and a hospital-based inpatient service.

The successful candidate will be expected to promote and participate in a collaborative relationship with other health care professionals, serve as a role-model for professional medical practice in the management of patients with complex disease and care needs, and proactive engagement in the teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners. Althoughseveral years of experience would be advantageous, less experienced candidates with exceptional clinical and academic potential will also be considered. Candidates must meet the requirements for appointment at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have a Doctor of Medicine degree, and eligible for Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine.
