Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking two full-time Level II Training Instructors based out of Bridgeton, MO facility.  This position develops, tests, maintains, and delivers training programs and related materials in support of relatively complex products and procedures.  This position will require travel domestic and international.      

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of training programs in support of the operation and maintenance of Department of Defense (DoD) customer equipment 
  • Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers training programs and procedures
  • Develop formal instructional lesson plans, student guides, and student handouts in support of training courses
  • Utilize ADDIE methodologies to develop task based training/curriculum in accordance with instructional system design (ISD) training development guidance such as TRADOC Regulation (TR) 350-70
  • Update course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
  • Assists in the state-of-the-art training processes including Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Development Capability (TDC)
  • Regularly report progress and status of assigned task
  • Complete assigned task on time, within specified parameters of cost, and meeting technical requirements
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct formal technical operation and maintenance training
  • Provides short notice, on-site, product support, troubleshooting and repair
  • Attend and participate in appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Mentor and coach less experienced instructors
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related technical field
  • 5+ years' experience of classroom instruction or relevant experience
  • Technical training in design and development
  • Must possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, flow diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicates clearly (written and oral) with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to travel domestic and internationally up to 40% of the time
     

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

 

The expected pay scale for this position is $64,313.00/year - $91,966.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
