Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor sensitive aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy, (DoE) or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures
  • Assist with execution of typical security related issues may include physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation and debriefings
  • Develop and implement security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel
  • Monitor and conduct security briefings and security education programs
  • Investigate or oversee the investigation of losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain liaison with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of all security activities
  • Develop procedures and coordinate procedure manual revisions
  • May provide work leadership for lower-level employees
  • May serve as Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) at large Defense Security Service-cleared facilities 
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and equivalent industrial and physical security training
  • An active US DoD Secret clearance is required
  • Working knowledge of DoD, DoE or other industrial security program is required
  • Capable of multitasking security activities in a fast paced, multifaceted environment
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, other DRS functions and external customers
  • Must be able to interpret current government regulations and procedures
  • Must have the ability to work well with customers, peers, and management
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

 

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
