At Kraton, we make a Positive Difference, and we are looking for individuals who are also looking to make a difference in their jobs, for our customers and to the world.  We are looking to hire a key member of our Supply Chain & Logistics team at our Almere location. 

 

As Supply Chain Coordinator you are the key player to manage the modal selection and distribution of finished product across the network. You will work closely with plant supply chain and logistics procurement to improve material logistics services, while controlling logistics operating costs. Additionally, you oversee regulatory guidelines with respect to shipping of materials.

Key Responsibilities

 

The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Support business growth by providing optimal logistics solutions and analysis.
  • Manage the freight tendering of transport via TMS to the carriers. Perform exception management to ensure logistics solutions are provided. 
  • Independently work with 3rd party service providers as needed, for example managing storage and distribution from a warehouse or tank and / or be able to manage the relationship with an ocean freight forwarder. 
  • Provide supporting services to procurement, plant supply chain, customer service, sales, operational planning and regional manufacturing. Develop expertise in Kraton's produce-to-deliver process. 
  • Support cross-functional problem solving and risk mitigation in the supply chain. 
  • Support continuous improvement processes, KPI's and projects to optimize performance and costs. Be able to lead a small to medium improvement project and contribute to department SOPs and audits.
  • Ensure logistic regulatory compliance is accomplished.
     

 

Required Skills

 

  • 3+ years of Logistics, Supply Chain, Planning or Operations related work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Operational experience by multi modes.
  • Working knowledge of logistics compliance and regulations.
  • Continuous improvement and KPI management.
  • Knowledge of SAP Preferred.

Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in logistics/transportation, planning or relative experience.
