Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $30-$34/hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Onsite, Niskayuna, NY

What's a typical day as Wind Technical Lab Assistant? You'll be:
- Supporting and assuring lab safety rules are always maintained, modeling behaviors associated with the highest level of EHS best practices.
- Assisting in repairs of several models of GE Wind Turbines, including performing component replacements and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
- Coordinating crews of students, overseeing contractors, and demonstrating proper use of lab tools and equipment.
- Support instructors with lab exercises to include gen alignment, torquing and other maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and secure on-site installation of new lab systems and/or equipment.  Perform ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation. 
- Perform administrative functions; such as ordering and shipping tooling, maintaining tooling inventory, ordering parts and ensuring items requiring periodic calibration or servicing are maintained
- Organize, clean, and sanitize the tools and equipment in the lab after each class.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
-Possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent and possess 1 year of relevant experience or 4 years of military experience in an electrical/mechanical field.
- Are willing and able to operate heavy equipment and climb wind turbines, working at heights.
- Possess a valid driver's license and are available to work swing shifts.
