Description

Position Title: Utility Worker 
Location: Orange, TX
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Shift: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM (Weekdays)
Hours per Week: 40 hrs 

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Utility Worker to clean totes previously containing hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The successful candidate will also provide support to the production and shipping/receiving departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean totes and manage certification processes according to specifications
  • Perform general maintenance on containers and install valves
  • Communicate work assignments with office staff
  • Perform basic painting of containers
  • Record operational data, including process conditions, test results, and instrument readings
  • Serve as back-up for warehouse shippers/receivers
  • Perform DOT testing on containers as per Semi-Bulk ISO reference manual
  • Generate labels per regulatory requirements
  • Enter SAP transactions to track tote certifications
  • Monitor and maintain sewer/storm water discharge records
  • Operate forklifts for various tasks
  • Manage parts and inventory
  • Support EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), LEAN, and cost improvement programs
  • Notify maintenance and other auxiliary personnel to correct equipment malfunctions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment working with hazardous materials
  • Forklift driving experience
