Must have experience working on diesel heavy equipment and a CDL, (or willing to get one).

Job description:
This is working with large dynos on testing axles for heavy vehicles .
1st shift - 7:00am-3:30pm
Will start out as a 1 year contract and will either extend or will be hired in.
Overview:
The Test Technician works closely with Test Engineering and is provided direction for daily/weekly schedules and planning. The tasks a technician may be asked to perform include: set-up, monitoring, and tear down of lab engineering tests development and durability ; test fixture development; support of prototype system and vehicle builds; vehicle instrumentation installation and removal; test data collection and analysis; and general equipment maintenance and trouble shooting of servo-hydraulic test systems. The technician must have good communication and writing skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install and remove parts, fixtures, or instrumentation as required to support development and durability testing.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order, calibrations are kept up to date, and any equipment problems or issues are reported and resolved.
- Setup and monitor lab durability tests to support the Design Validation and Development process.
- Setup and perform vehicle, module, or component static or dynamic measurements to quantify performance or dimensional integrity.
- Perform tasks as requested on work request, ensure tasks are completed in manner understood by the requestor, and document on work request the tasks performed, the time required to complete the task, and the date the task was performed.
- Operate a variety of OEM and internally developed mechanical test systems.
- Verify that acquired data is valid, and assure that no fixture or component issues exist that will render data useless.
- Keep good records of tests performed and update Test Engineering with written status when necessary.
- Keep test and maintenance records as required to ensure compliance with TS16949.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and follow good housekeeping practices.

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Associates Degree desirable.
- Working knowledge of vehicle suspension systems
- Pneumatic and electric motor experience
- General machine shop and welding experience is desirable
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
