Supplier Quality Specialist – Eagan, MN
The Supplier Quality Specialist will be responsible for qualifying suppliers by conducting audits and establishing quality agreements, as well as reviewing new material requests and monitoring supplier performance. This role will also emphasize continuous improvement by implementing effective supplier corrective actions. The specialist will be crucial in ensuring that products adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality goals, while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Purchasing department to lead supplier qualification efforts, including distributing and reviewing supplier questionnaires and auditing critical suppliers.
- Work with other Quality teams to ensure supplier agreements meet our internal quality requirements.
- Investigate nonconformances related to incoming materials and issue supplier corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee the timely resolution of supplier corrective actions.
- Develop and track key performance indicators for incoming quality, using this data to monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance.
- Maintain and store records related to suppliers and incoming quality in accordance with internal procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety, and environmental regulations.
- Attend safety, GMP, and other required company training sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science
- 1-3+ years of experience in a regulated life science industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics)
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSQP, CQA) is preferred but not required
- Experience in Supplier Quality or Purchasing functions is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methods and tools
- Familiarity with quality management software and systems (e.g., Document Control, Nonconformances, CAPA, FMEA, Statistics)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with high ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- $80,000 - $100,000/year
