Sourcing Specialist (Hybrid) - Portland, OR
 
Summary: 
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing raw materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role manages vendor relationships, resolves supply issues, and supports the supply chain by maintaining diverse and reliable sources for ingredients and packaging.
 
Details:

  • Pay: $31 - $39/hr DOE
  • Hours: 8am - 5pm
    • Remote: Mon & Fri
    • On-site: Tues - Thurs
  • Duration: Direct-hire (Permanent position)
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Purchase raw materials and packaging to meet production needs. 
  • Ensure timely receipt and accurate paperwork for inbound orders. 
  • Obtain and analyze supplier quotes, presenting cost details to the Supply Chain Manager. 
  • Negotiate and place contracts for non-strategic items. 
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve quality, delivery, and cost issues. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Receiving, to provide necessary information. 
  • Adhere to procurement best practices, safety, and regulatory standards, including FDA and GMP compliance. 
  • Report food safety and quality concerns. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or buying. 
  • Experience with ERP systems in supply chain or manufacturing. 
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data analysis tools like Power BI. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
