Research Associate
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group has an opening for Research Associate for a long-term engagement at one of our leading agricultural clients in Indianapolis Indiana.. The role is eligible for medical benefits, paid time off including vacation (PTO), and holidays, 401K, and annual performance reviews. Pay is  $21- $22 an hour
Schedule: Monday -Friday 8am to 5pm on site

Looking for a highly motivated individual to join  our  clients Research Enablement team. The Research Enablement group consists of the Greenhouse Insectary teams that support research through production of high-quality plants, insects, insect diet/media for research. Plant production in Greenhouses horticultural care

  • Insect diet media production for supporting various insectary colonies/ research demands
  • Follow safety compliance protocols, Standard Operating procedures internal guidelines for working in each specific area
  • Data collection reporting as specified by the research
  • Work closely with Greenhouse Insectary teams 50 each (Note that, working with potential allergens such as pollen, debris from plants, chemicals, media ingredients, peanuts etc., would be necessary but appropriate PPE safety procedures will be mandated for such tasks. )
Requirements
  • College degree science based is preferred but not necessary- High school diploma required
  • Prior experience working in a Greenhouse environment growing horticultural crops would be necessary for this role
  • Lab experience familiarity using balances, pipettes, lab automation, clean lab practices would be a plus
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be comfortable working alone on solitary tasks as well.
  • Must have good organization skills, upkeep lab cleanliness and have good attention to details.
  • Able to complete tasks with little supervision after the initial training period is over.
  • They must be a fast learner and flexible as tasks, research requests change frequently or with little notice.
  • Time management is very important as most tasks need to be started and completed within the same day.
