Position: Health Care Call Center Representative (REMOTE)

Work Schedules:
New associates typically begin with one of the following shifts:

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM OR 09:30 AM - 06:30 PM 
  • NO weekends
Job Overview:

As a Health Care Call Center Representative, you will play a key role in delivering world-class customer service. You will assist callers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing pharmaceutical or medical health transactions. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you have the tools and knowledge to succeed. This role is ideal for team players who are passionate about providing outstanding service to clients and their customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inbound calls and process customer requests in the relevant system.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve customer billing inquiries by analyzing account history and making appropriate adjustments.
  • Escalate calls when necessary and provide routine health care information to facilities, doctors, and members. This includes details on coverage dates, claims history, deductible amounts, and medical benefits.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year of related experience is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service experience in a call center preferred for entry-level positions, required for higher levels (Rep II & III).
  • Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act, Commercial/Small & Large Group, and/or Pharmaceutical Benefits Management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, keyboarding, and navigating multiple programs in a Windows-based environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust communication style to meet customer needs and thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Commitment: A strong dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
Work-from-Home Requirements:
  • High-speed internet with the capability for a wired connection if needed.
  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace to attend training and work effectively.
Training Schedule:
  • Duration: 1-2 weeks
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
  • Note: Time off is not allowed during the training period due to the classroom environment.
Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $18.50/hour
  • Start Date: December 2nd, 2024
Interview Process for the job:
  • 30-minute video interviews via Microsoft Teams.
  • Preference for 3 days of scheduled interviews; dates to be determined based on candidate availability.
Project Scope:

The project involves handling brief, transactional calls averaging 2-3 minutes. Representatives will assist with the Pharmacy Solutions help desk line, addressing inquiries about prescription fills/refills, claims, and payment issues. Strong customer service skills are essential.
