6 month contract with potential for extension and full time employment.

What's a typical day as a Journeyman Electrician? You will:

  • Identify, document, and maintain all production, facility and support electrical equipment as per Maintenance Management System to ensure production reaches it goals.
  • Repair, maintenance, calibration, modification and testing of industrial electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic facilities including Logic controllers and related equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping in workshop and in the parts store. Active participation in implementing 5-S program.
  • Support Project team for electrical, instrument, control, and pneumatic installations.
  • Provide support and coordinate with Maintenance planner on day-to-day planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Execute tasks assigned through SAP and complete the work orders after executing the tasks.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Working knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety, and its legislation.
  • Familiarity with hazardous location electrical requirements.
  • Strong working ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Instrumentation background with knowledge modern robot controllers.
  • Knowledge and experience of gas detector maintenance and calibration.
  • Control system (PLC) experience including programming and troubleshooting is required.
  • Experience with industrial robotics an asset.
  • Fork lifter, and Arial Work platforms (like Scissor/boom lift) experience and certification an asset
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors and contractors while developing strong relationships.
  • CMSS (SAP or similar tool) experience will be an asset.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of in an industrial environment as a Journeyman electrician.
  • Have a Red Seal Certification (required).
  • Have an thorough understanding of Electronics and Pneumatics.
  • Have a working knowledge of grounding and bounding systems.

Shift and Pay Details:

  • Monday- Friday- 8 hours a day
  • 6am to 2:30pm
  • Pay will be based on experience- $36-$38/hr
