Quality Inspector (First Shift)
South Windsor, CT
Pay: $25-$31 per hour (DOE)
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of products throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, and collaborating with the production team to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use various measurement tools and equipment to assess product quality and detect defects.
• Document inspection results, including any deviations from quality standards, and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control activities.
• Conduct regular audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in quality control or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with CMM programming
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and measurement tools, including micrometers and calipers
• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar manufacturing role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using computer software for reporting and documentation.
