Quality Control Chemist
 
Pay: $22 - $24/hr
Location: Carson, CA
Schedule: Night Shift, Mon- Fri 10pm-6am*
*Saturdays for half day OT are required
 
Overview:
We are a leading laboratory specializing in high-quality analytical testing services. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist to join a leading manufacturer of personal care and over the counter products in Carson, CA. This key role is essential for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operating HPLC systems, as well as conducting method validation and supporting product formula development.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Follow SOP, Safety and GMP
    ? Preparation of sample solutions, standards, and reagents.
    ? Conduct calibration of lab equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    ? Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on lab instruments, including HPLC systems.
    ? Generate IQ, PQ, and OQ documentation for new equipment installations.
    ? Conduct placebo batch validation and testing of new product formulas.
    ? Approve and release assay results internally.
    ? Investigate and report Out-of-Spec (OOS) results to the appropriate department.
    ? Manage and monitor supply inventory, ensuring timely replenishment.
    • Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety guidelines at all times.
    • Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for optimization in method development, validation, and efficiency.
 
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience in an HPLC lab setting.
  • Experience in HPLC Isocratic/Binary instrumental analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, process validation, and method development of HPLC systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP compliance and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
