Direct Hire
Location: NE Portland, OR
Shift: 4pm - 12am
Pay Rate: $26.50/hr (+$2 shift differential from 5pm-12am)
Monday-Friday, with occasional OT
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a full-time, on-site, direct hire position at Biotech company in NE Portland. Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This essential role involves performing microbiological, physical, and chemical analysis on raw materials and food products at various stages of the manufacturing process. The technician will also provide support to the Quality Assurance Manager by conducting audits and inspections for glass and hard plastic, post-cleanup, sanitation, pest control, and security. Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and effective communication are key to ensuring the successful completion of duties.
Responsibilities:
• Perform chemical and physical analysis, including flavor checks, on product, ingredient, and control samples.
• Accurately record all analyses and communicate results effectively.
• Prepare product sampling materials and maintain a clean and organized laboratory.
• Follow all GMP and safety procedures, including allergen testing, environmental swabbing, ATP swabbing, air and water sampling.
• Assist the production team with general cleaning duties as needed.
• Cover all lab responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Assist in internal audits, CAPA resolutions, and records review to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a lab environment, with food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs and experience with product quality and safety functions.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow GMPs as described in company guidelines.
• Clear writing skills and proficiency with MS Office and other company software.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, especially in emergency situations.
