At Kelly®, we are currently looking for a Production Operator to join our team in Channahon, IL.
Pay Rate: $25.75 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; 2 days on, 2 nights on, followed by 4 days off
Responsibilities of the Production Operator:
- Operate forklifts to bring in raw materials and transport materials within the facility
- Utilize PLCs to optimize and troubleshoot product quality and equipment performance
- Perform cleaning tasks and apply computer skills as needed
- Assist with preventative maintenance activities
- Handle production and material management involving Styrofoam
Additional tasks include:
- Moving units to the lot using a forklift
- Applying labels when necessary
- Running the off-stacker and managing the HMI panel by the band saw
- Assisting with film changeovers for the hooder
- Changing film for the banding machine
- Transporting raw materials to the mezzanine
- Keeping the grinder supplied
- Aiding in start-ups and shutdowns
- Participating in building clean-outs during shutdowns
- Vacuuming fines off the screen
- Serving as the fourth person during start-ups and 4” runs
- Operating the compactor
- Cutting cores from the hooder
You might be a great fit for this role if you:
- Have at least 2 years of forklift experience and mechanical skills
- Are comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned production environment
- Can lift up to 50 lbs and frequently climb stairs and ladders
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Have experience using computers and are open to learning new systems
- Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
