Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Production Lead at one of our Global clients in West Palm Beach, FL.  This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.

Title: Production Lead
Location: West Palm Beach (33410)
Pay: open; plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm (first shift)
M-F 3:30pm – 12am (second shift)
Duration: Long term contract (minimum 1 year)

Job Description: Manufacturing/Production Engineer - Production Lead: Overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing process of our medical devices. Your leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of life-saving medical products.

Responsibilities: Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Customer, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Lead the production team to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate production schedules, resources, and workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor production staff providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment for all production activities.
  • Identify and resolve production issues and address any deviations from quality standards promptly.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and lead efforts to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with the R D team to provide feedback on product design for manufacturability and scalability.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or associates degree in Engineering/Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Five years operating CNC machining equipment experience Grinding or Machine Shop department Lead .
  • 3 -5 years manufacturing experience within the medical device or related industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Proven track record of optimizing production processes and improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
  • Proficient in using production and manufacturing software systems, as well as MS Office Suite familiarity with GD T practices.
  • Ability to perform Windchill/ETQ activities including NR investigations.
  • Understand and perform complex data analysis.
  • Excellent math skills
