Kelly Engineering is seeking a skilled Plant Engineer for our manufacturing client in Florence, KY. The Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of machinery, equipment, processes, and systems within the manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions:
- Maintenance & Efficiency: Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery, equipment, and systems are well-maintained and operate efficiently.
- Process Optimization: Work collaboratively with Process Engineers and production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
- Issue Resolution: Diagnose equipment and operational issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions to production, often with Process Engineers' assistance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment and operations adhere to safety regulations and standards by implementing safety protocols and guidelines.
- Project Participation: Participate in the planning and execution of engineering projects related to operations, including new equipment installation and process modifications, in collaboration with Process Engineers.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor manufacturing processes to maintain and enhance product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Process Engineers.
- Budget Support: Assist in managing the plant's budget and controlling expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and capital projects, in consultation with Process Engineers.
- Environmental Compliance: Support compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable, eco-friendly practices with input from Process Engineers.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, equipment specifications, and other relevant data, ensuring alignment with Process Engineers' documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing settings.
- Experience in overseeing complex engineering projects.
- Process Engineering experience is valuable.
