Molecular Scientist

Location: Spring House, PA
Pay Rate: $36-$40 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (Kelly OCG), a managed solutions provider within Kelly Services, Inc., is seeking a Molecular Scientist for a long-term engagement with one of our global clients. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 401K, paid holidays, vacation, and personal/sick time. Annual performance reviews are also provided for all Kelly OCG employees.

Position Overview:

As a Molecular Scientist with Kelly OCG, you will work with the Lead Engineering Group, which focuses on designing biologic candidates by integrating advanced design concepts into multi-specific antibodies. You will play a key role in the discovery and molecular engineering of biotherapeutics and in the development of new processes and technologies for therapeutic discovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform recombinant DNA cloning, sequence analysis, and plasmid amplification/preparation.
  • Express and purify proteins from mammalian host cells using affinity chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, and other methods.
  • Possess a basic understanding of antibody structure and function.
  • Collaborate on project teams to advance discovery portfolio projects.
  • Present and defend scientific findings in multi-functional project teams.
  • Independently design, analyze, and interpret experimental results and technical reports.
  • Champion the development of new technologies aimed at advancing multi-specific antibody development and validating portfolio readiness.
Qualifications:
  • Education: B.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on molecular biology experience, including cloning, plasmid preparation, and sequence analysis.
    • Knowledge of protein engineering methods and molecular biology techniques.
    • Experience working in a collaborative scientific team.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • At least 1 year of industry experience in the preclinical development of antibodies and/or CAR-T based biotherapeutics.
