Position: Temporary Materials Handling / Warehouse Associate
Location: Comstock Park, MI 
Pay: Starts at $18.00 per hr.

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a highly reliable and diligent individual to join our team as a Cleaning and Materials Handling Associate. This is a seasonal role that extends through fall. This position is critical to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility and involves the preparation and management of orders. There is an opportunity for full-time hire-on after the seasonal period ends, based on company needs, performance, and reliability/attendance. 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain the facility yard through full-time cleaning and organization, ensuring a safe and tidy workspace. 
• Prepare, band, and wrap orders using provided pick sheets, in collaboration with full-time employees who scan orders using the WMS system. 
• Support the materials handling team by gathering and packaging orders accurately and efficiently. 
• Participate in safety practices consistently and demonstrate strong spatial awareness to ensure all tasks are performed safely. 
• Promote safety, adhering to all protocols and regulations, especially when using equipment like steel-toed boots and always adhering to operational safety practices. 

Training and Development: 

• Receive training in operating the hilo and utilizing the Epicor WMS system upon demonstrating proficiency in primary tasks. 
• Opportunity to gain and certify forklift operation skills; prior forklift experience is advantageous but not essential to start. 

Requirements: 

• Demonstrated history of reliable work performance and a strong work ethic 
• Ability to work flexible shift lengths and mandatory overtime as needed 
• Steel-toed boots required from the start 
• Good spatial awareness and commitment to workplace safety
