Job Title: Material Technician-DAY SHIFT
Pay Rate: 
$21.50 per hour
Location: Onsite
Job Type: Contract (1 year)
Shift Hours: Day shift, 8-5
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Material Technician I is basic material handling within a GMP Warehouse, including adherence to detailed SOPs, documentation, and compliance with cGMP and safety requirements.


Work is performed in a team environment within multiple areas of the facility including unclassified and classified areas requiring appropriate gowning and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work schedule is1st shift, rotating days off, includes some weekends, holidays, and overtime.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operation of primary material handling equipment forklift/pallet jacks, delivery vehicles, cold rooms/freezers to perform receiving of GMP materials, inventory control (SAP), handling / storage and transfers of raw materials.
     
  • Recognizes and reports safety, maintenance, and quality events to area management.
  • Communicates status of operations to area management in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet and web-based applications.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion to support GMP and Safety environments.

Skills / Characteristics:
  • Successful candidates will have a high-level attention to detail mindset, can understand and adhere to written instructions, be dependable and take personal accountability.
     
  • Candidates must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be attentive and approachable with the ability to embrace a team-based culture.
     
  • Good communication skills, previous work history showing dependability and drive.
     
  • Ideally, candidates have a pharmaceutical or equivalent background within a regulated GMP environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:
  • Desired candidate will have a college degree, minimum of a high school diploma.
     
Physical Demands:
  • This role may require contact with hazardous materials such as caustic, acids and extreme cold temperatures.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching is required.
  • Role also requires infrequent unassisted lifting (not to exceed 50 lbs.).
  • Repetitive use of arms/hand/wrists, grasping is also required.
