Manufacturing/Production Engineer – (6-month contract)
Pay: $35-$55 per hour DOE
Location: Temple Terrace, FL
Candidate must meet ITAR requirements
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a 6-month contract. This role shall support the business in areas of new product development, process improvement, daily product support, manage key programs, technical authority in metal processes, analyze and interpret technical data engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc. and create shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high-quality product.
Duties:
• Plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products.
• Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible to available machines.
• Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement within budgeted cost and time.
• Routing process and work flow CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired product.
• Analyze and resole fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems.
• Create new or modifying existing manufacturing drawings used
• Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times
• Comply with all company policies/procedures. Comply with all military and contractual requirements. All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• Extensive machining background in the production of close tolerance highly precision products involving various types of metal allows.
• CAD/CAM experience with exposure in working with NX, SolidWorks or MasterCAM preferred
• Strong metal processing background, i.e., Heat Treating, Surface Finishing, Forging, Casting, etc.
Skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, SolidWorks, CATIA and other applicable tools.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations
• Passion for data, analysis, trends, reporting and technology.
• Ability to write clearly and informatively routine reports, correspondence, and designs workflows and procedures.
• Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement and use of Lean and Six-Sigma resources and tools.
Education
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, preferred
• With 7-10 years experience OR 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment with high mix/low to mid volume product rates.
