Role: Machine Operator
Location: North Smithfield, RI
Pay Rate: $18 and above, based on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday
Job Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Run the melt department furnaces and equipment to hit daily production goals
- Keep work area clean, safe, and organized; follow all safety rules
- Enter production data in shop software and hand off accurate paperwork
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor & Scheduling on lot priorities and completion times
- Help train teammates and visiting operators
- Willingness to cross train through different departments
- Pitch in on year end inventory counts and other plant tasks as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1–3 yrs relevant melt/metal Processing experience is a plus!
- HS Diploma or GED
- Comfort with basic math and reading work instructions in English
- Basic PC skills; any manufacturing/MRP software is a plus
- Valid driver's license; forklift cert & OSHA 24hr training (or willingness to obtain)
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work around heat, noise, and metal fumes with proper PPE
- You will need to wear a respirator
