Floor Technician - Third Shift (Machine Operator)
Location: Lakeville, CT
Shift: Third Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Floor Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Floor Technician will be responsible for operating various molding and assembly machines, ensuring product quality, and performing routine maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work the third shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and will be expected to perform a variety of tasks to ensure smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, start up, and operate molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines.

  • Perform necessary color changes and material handling.

  • Conduct visual and functional quality inspections to ensure products meet predefined standards.

  • Handle materials and monitor auxiliary equipment.

  • Perform minor maintenance and resolve operational issues.

  • Conduct necessary gaging to ensure product meets dimensional standards.

  • Label products correctly and palletize for transfer to the next operation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation as per job requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with both previous and incoming shifts to ensure production goals are met.

  • Report any machine or quality issues immediately to the supervisor.

  • Promote safety by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior manufacturing experience is required; experience in plastic injection molding is a plus.

  • Basic math skills and reasoning ability.

  • Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of a full shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
