Position: Machine Operator (Manufacturing)
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $18+/hour
Schedule: Full Time
Contract Type: Temporary to Hire

Position Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of machines, including fork trucks and cranes.
  • Load/unload materials onto/off machines.
  • Process tubing through equipment and ensure the quality of tubes produced and shipped.
  • Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition, review work lists, locate materials, and plan material run order with operators.
  • Load/unload machines, perform necessary set-up, process jobs, and stage material using FIFO inventory management.
  • Use SAP for work orders, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance duties daily while following all safety policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred, ability to operate industrial machines, fork trucks, and cranes safely and efficiently after training.

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion, including lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, walking, reaching, working overhead, and standing on a concrete floor for 8 hours, with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
