Lab Technician in Houston, TX
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Lab Technician for one of our clients, an oil field service company, in Houston, TX.
As a Lab Technician, you will conduct laboratory experiments and research and analytical testing using basic chemistry principles to develop scientific and technical data aligned with the functions and goals of the organization.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing project assignments.
• Contribute to the development of innovative applications, new products and processes.
• Analyze and select appropriate scientific method to execute experiments that provide meaningful data.
• Conduct testing and experiments using equipment and instruments in adherence to all standard laboratory operating procedures.
• Use laboratory software for data analysis, reporting, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate data and reports of experiments, research and analytical testing.
• Summarize and communicate findings in written technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
• AAS or B.S. degree in chemistry or related fields, will consider 3-5 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in chemistry, engineering or technical support relevant to oilfield applications.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Contract-to-hire
• Monday-Friday :8:00am-5:00pm (Occasional night and weekend work may be required based on business needs)
• Pay Rate: dependent upon level of education and experience
