Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Completes microbiological and/or chemical testing on the final product, intermediate, raw material, and environmental monitoring, as per established policies/procedures (J&J policies, FDA, cGMP) without adversely impact the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory operations.
2. Responsible for coordinating testing activities to comply with material releases as per established due dates with minimum intervention from supervisor/ manager.
3. Documents and/or verifies tests and results for the testing performed with minimum of discrepancies.
4. Provides for preventive maintenance and standardization of laboratory equipment.
5. Generates, leads, executes, and implements new projects, and validation.
6. Prepares presentations, as requested.
7. Generates changes to existing procedures or creates new ones based on area needs.
8. Resolves technical problems with minimum intervention from the Scientist or any other individual.
9. Develops training modules and trains / certifies employees.
10. Generates statistical reports for tests performed.
11. Responsible for evaluating and completing laboratory investigations and assists on internal and/or external audits, complaints, and product impact analysis.
12. Responsible for completing projects and drives for results.
13. Interacts with other project groups.
14. Maintains procedures up to date by performing necessary changes to comply with internal and/or external requirements.
15. Submits purchase requisitions and maintains laboratory inventory at an adequate level, and initiates requisitions for replenishments in a timely manner.
16. Escalates compliance events and is member of the resolution team.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
• A bachelors degree is required in science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or other related field)
• A minimum of 1 preferably 2 years of experience in a laboratory area within critical medical device and/or
pharmaceutical industries.
