Kelly Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our client's team at the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada
Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location: Goodwood, Nova Scotia
About the Role:
The Mechanic Heavy Duty will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment within our steel yard. To excel in this role, you will need at least 3 years of experience in heavy-duty mechanics and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.

Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections
  • Ensure the safety and reliability of all equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs
  • Report any equipment deficiencies to the proper manager
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Valid Heavy-Duty Mechanic Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy-duty mechanics
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostics
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, go up and down stairs, and proficient with hand tools
