Analytical Lab Technician (1st Shift, Contract to Direct)
Location: West Caldwell, NJ
Pay: $21 to $23 an hour depending on experience
Kelly Engineering seeking, a temp to perm, detail-oriented Analytical Lab Technician in West Caldwell NJ area. As an Analytical Lab Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining analytical test equipment, such as an Analyzer machine, to verify the quality and performance of manufactured parts. In addition, you will perform occasional quality control and inspection work to ensure compliance with established standards. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of analytical testing.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain analytical test equipment, including Analyzer machines, to analyze and verify the quality of manufactured parts.
• Perform routine analytical tests on samples using various techniques, such as spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, and other relevant methods.
• Conduct data analysis and interpretation to assess the performance and quality of the tested samples.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality control, to ensure accurate and timely testing of manufactured parts.
• Perform occasional quality control inspections on incoming materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Document test results, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot and address any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment in the laboratory.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Analytical Lab Technician or Quality Technician, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical test equipment, including Analyzer machines.
• Attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate and precise analytical testing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and address technical issues during testing.
• Effective communication
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices, including inspection methods and standards.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
