Engineering Analyst
4-6 month contract position
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) Remote – Monday and Friday


Job Description
Core Responsibilities:

  • Works independently with moderate supervision
  • Prioritizes own work daily
  • Learns department procedures & Follows procedures accurately
  • Tracks design release document status and resolves issues with limited supervision
  • Tracks prototype parts status daily and resolve issues with limited supervision for vehicle and test requirements, such as~
  • Follows up on the Request for Quote to ensure cost and timing are received on time
  • Confirms deliveries weekly to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Resolves release issues
  • Ensures timing is meeting MRD (Material Required date), SOT (Start of Test) and SOA (Start of Assembly)
  • Strives to compress initial late timing, Etc.
  • Support of obtaining “accurate” SOT's from our Internal Test Engineers
  • Inputs applicable information from suppliers and enters into applicable Main Frame System.
  • Investigate routine and non-routine problems
  • Reports routine system-related problems and open issues
  • Attend weekly department & supplier/project meetings occasionally Management of Direct Shipments
  • Must be highly detailed and conscientious
  • Collaboration / Teamwork:
  • Takes direction from Senior Staff or Lead person to perform the job
  • Support as much as humanly feasible; many opportunities for on-the-job growth in timing negotiations
  • Interact with others in a cooperative, flexible, and adaptable manner
Quality:
  • Makes recommendations to improve jobs in core areas (quality, quantity, and efficiency).
Continuous Improvement:
  • Evaluate work results
  • Gathers external and internal data
  • Identifies problem areas in established workflow and proposes actions to resolve fundamental issues
  • Summarizes and reports information
  • Writes accurate routine design notes
