Job Opportunity: Electro-Mechanical Technician - Northlake, IL
We have 3 openings for Electro-Mechanical Technicians in the Northlake, IL area for one of our clients. Our client specializes in designing, producing, and supporting innovative packaging solutions, with a strong commitment to sustainability and safety.

Shift Details:
- Rotating Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM (2-2-3 schedule)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC variable speed drives, and electrical controls.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
- Manage and support electrical projects initiated by the maintenance department.
- Collaborate with shift maintenance teams to solve problems and troubleshoot issues, which may include after-hours support.
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical codes and OSHA safety standards for all facility and production equipment.
- Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve overall equipment performance.
- Uphold departmental standards for safety, sanitation, and housekeeping.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and lead training for maintenance electricians as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's degree or equivalent preferred; High school diploma/GED required.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a quality control inspector is preferred.
- Familiarity with visual inspection processes and the ability to read technical documents, including print specifications.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong writing skills for routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective oral communication skills for group presentations.
Mathematical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Competent in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
- Familiarity with calculating mean, median, mode, and applying Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Capable of following instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and addressing problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Virtual Client.
