Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire position at a leading biomass electric power generation company in Benson, MN. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.

Compensation:
$35-40/hr. + $20,000 annual bonus!

Overview
Our client operates at the forefront of renewable natural gas production, with a network of biogas upgrading plants. The Regional Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance tasks and responding to operational challenges at various biogas facilities. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role requires a highly skilled individual capable of performing both mechanical and electrical maintenance while ensuring safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute all mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks at biogas upgrading plants.
  • Work on voltages up to 480V as a Qualified Electrical Worker, adhering to OSHA and applicable safety standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other technicians for complex maintenance activities.
  • Ensure safety compliance for team members and contractors, including permit execution.
  • Participate in and sometimes lead maintenance scheduling and coordination activities.
  • Support procurement activities and maintain accurate SOPs, LOTOs, and PMs.
  • Function as an Operator/Technician when needed, covering for other operators or providing support to the team.
  • Oversee plant operations to meet production, financial, and safety goals.
  • Provide technical assistance, maintain quality control, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Commission, test, and operate plant equipment, ensuring successful completion of Operational Acceptance Tests (OATs).
  • Perform plant inspections, troubleshoot operational issues, and optimize production processes.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree, vocational technical diploma, or equivalent technical experience required.
  • Certified electrician with ICC Journeyman certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process production or the natural gas industry preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Experience with Fiix work order management system preferred.
  • Certifications in forklift and man-lift operation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for navigating spreadsheets and entering production data.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights and with basic hand tools.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, kneeling, and walking, as needed.
  • Must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
