Lead Electrical Designer | Ruther Glen, Virginia (also open to candidates in Richmond, VA)
Full-time | Direct Hire

Client is open to assisting with relocation expenses.

Kelly Engineering is looking for a Lead Electrical Designer with electrical design experience in a to join our client's team to assist in producing conceptual design to construction documents from utilization voltage to low voltage including, detailed equipment layout, single and three-line diagrams, grounding, and feeder routing.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and analysis of electrical drawings, specifications and submittals.
• 3D modeling of pathway and circuiting layout consistent with the electrical design based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and field installation leads.
• Equipment layout adjustments based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and according to the engineering design.
• Participation in the design coordination process and resolving coordination conflicts.
• Production of coordination / shop drawings, installation details
• Production of sketches to support field installation tasks.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related concepts.
• Knowledge of the field installation best practices
• Knowledge of critical design software

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 10-14 years of design experience
• Field experience with electrical installations
• Design experience with Autodesk Revit (required), Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk AutoCAD
• Completed electrical apprenticeship and journeyman or master electrician status strongly desired

TRAVEL: Approximately 25% to client sites and manufacturing facility
