CNC Programmer – Machinist
1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM
Pay Rate: $30 Hourly

Job Summary:
Kelly Services is partnering with Johnson & Johnson to find an experienced CNC Programmer - Machinist to join their dynamic team. This position is crucial in creating prototype products and conducting machining duties with a focus on quality, precision, and innovation. Responsibilities:
- Experience working with HAAS VF3 with TR200 trunnion, HAAS Mini Mill, HAAS VF2, Mitsubishi EDM, Citizen Swiss machines.
- Fabricate prototype components for new product testing using metals, plastics, and other materials based on blueprints, drawings, models, and sketches.
- Review blueprints or drawings for machining capability and ensure they meet drawing standards.
- Program, set up, clean, and perform minor repairs on machining equipment.
- Operate machinery such as manual lathe, mills, drill presses, grinders, and CNC machining centers.
- Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to produce tooling, fixtures, castings, and parts to specifications.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the machines, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next level of management.
- Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and optimize shop or department operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental practices, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Proficiency with conventional mill, lathe, surface grinder, drill press, and CNC machinery (including CNC Machining Center or 5 Axis Swiss Lathe).
- Experience with CAM programming software (MasterCAM, PartMaker).
- Strong understanding of blueprints, CAD files, and work orders.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use fractions, decimals, and geometry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in a machining environment.
- Ability to perform work-related tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience working with HAAS VF3 with TR200 trunnion, HAAS Mini Mill, HAAS VF2, Mitsubishi EDM, Citizen Swiss machines.
- Experience with 3D printing (preferred but not required).
This position is based in a machine shop environment, where safety standards are a priority. The role will require some overtime as needed to meet production demand.
