Job Title: Analytical Chemist - Quality Control and Laboratory Operations
Responsibilities:
Routine Activities:
- Conduct Quality Control testing of raw materials and finished products, maintaining QC databases.
- Produce lab-scale product batches, perform stability testing, and conduct other product evaluations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and ethical manner.
- Undertake other assignments as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.
Support & Coordination:
- Assist other Company representatives as needed.
- Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with company staff, vendors, customers, and potential clients.
Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely reports of laboratory activities and procedures.
- Prepare other reports as required.
Compliance:
- Non-smoker.
- COVID vaccinated.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a closely related science.
- Some experience with chemical analysis techniques.
Additional Experience:
- One or more years of laboratory experience (preferred).
- One or more years of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience (preferred).
- Experience in performing HPLC and FTIR analyses (preferred).
- Experience in basic statistics and designing experiments (preferred).
Skill Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills in chemistry and material testing.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Technical writing skills (a plus).
- Ability to work independently for extended periods.
- Capable of managing stress while delivering services, achieving goals, and meeting deadlines.
This position reports to the Laboratory Supervisor.
