Position: Customer Service Representative – full time, 6 month contract (potential to hire)
Location: Pasadena, CA 91107
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm
Pay rate: $25-28p/h
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working with high-needs In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) recipients, often in emergency situations or needing help understanding how to navigate their county and state public assistance, such as IHSS and Medi-Cal.
- Handle inbound calls and correspondence
- Resolve all aspects of customer inquiries, provide accurate and timely responses
- Handle inbound calls and correspondence
- Enter accurate information into the database
- Collaborate with various staff members to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain records and ensure proper documentation.
- Light administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and envelope packing
- Handle email and phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recent graduate with Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, such as Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling preferred
- 1-3 years' experience in social work or homecare administration
- Previous Call Center or Customer Service experience
- Microsoft Office proficient
- 40 wpm
- Background screen after acceptance of job offer
