Sales Manager / Business Development Manager needed in the Bolingbrook, Illinois area.
$70K - $100K, based on level of experience + Commission
Job Description
Our client is looking for a results-oriented Business Development/Sales Manager, with a hunter mentality. This role will target new business development, encompassing all areas of our supply chain services. This role will be charged with establishing new relationships and opportunities to generate revenue growth. If you are a problem solver of client pain-points, if you develop sales strategies to alleviate them, establishing yourself, and the company, as a trusted partner, with the goal to gain additional wallet-share, this opportunity is for you.
What will you be responsible for?
You will lead the sales effort coordinating new business information, while working internally with operations and pricing. You will be responsible for developing and executing action plans that will lead to new business. You will prospect and understand the business challenges of today within the supply chain and build upon opportunities that align not only with immediate revenue, but mid and long term as well.

  • New Business & Selling - You like to work in an environment that is entrepreneurial, empowering and encouraging you to make your own decisions.
  • Hunting – You love prospecting for new business, you are not satisfied with ‘no”, you strive to identify, target and close new business.
  • Process & Ownership – You alter your sales approach based on the client and work with them on solving issues, while effectively negotiating and up-selling.
  • Transparency, Commitment & Ethics – You are a professional at all times. You are optimistic, can balance your time / workload, while being motivated to succeed.
  • Responsibility & Accountability – Plain and simple, you want the responsibility and are accountable. You establish goals, strive to exceed them, and are committed to constant improvement.
Your Experience Includes:
  • A minimum of 5 years Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • New business prospecting skills that deliver short, mid & long term.
  • Fiscal management and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborating with a team first mentality.
  • Existing book of business ideal, but not required.
