NVH Test Technician at the Nissan Automotive Proving Grounds
Long-term, day shift opportunity
Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a NVH Test Technician at our Stanfield, AZ location.

In this NVH Test Technician role, you will work collaboratively within a team of Engineers and Technicians to test and develop Nissan and Infiniti vehicles to meet customer focused targets.
Job Function includes, but not limited to:
- Provide testing support for full vehicle NVH development including: Powertrain Noise, Tire & Road Noise, Wind Noise, Exterior Pass-by Noise, and vehicle Shake & Shimmy.
- Perform on-road NVH testing per Nissan engineering standards. This includes: instrumenting the vehicle, acquiring accurate test data, performing subjective evaluations, and analyzing / plotting data for reports.
- Support and participate in proving ground and public road events to evaluate and validate vehicle performance and overall competitiveness for NVH.
- Travel up to 15% is required in order to support vehicle launch activity and field scrambles with engineering teams to provide quick feedback in order to address customer concerns.
- High School diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or associates degree preferred.
- Prior automotive technician experience preferred; ability to conduct part swaps and fabricate prototype parts for testing.
- Basic knowledge of vehicles and noise/vibration principles (including effective problem- solving skills and ability to conduct subjective vehicle evaluations).
- Dynamic vehicle test experience preferred in Noise & Vibration testing or equivalent discipline utilizing instrumentation, test set-up, and proficient use of data analysis software (LMS Testlab software preferred).
- No driving restrictions, plus ability to lift objects of ~50lbs from floor to waist height for vehicle loading/ unloading.
- Must be self-motivated to learn and grow in a dynamic team environment. Must have good communication and interpersonal skill appropriate to cross cultural/cross functional work environment.
- Use of the Microsoft Office suite required.
- Overtime requirement up to 20% and time management skills to keep test timing on track.
- Relatively clean driving record
