Job Summary:
Provide physical therapy treatment, in accordance with the specific treatment plan devised by a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement evidence-based practice treatment and a high level of customer service. Document patient care and treatment within standards of Kaiser Permanente policy. Adhere to professional, ethical and legal standards of Washington state practice act and Kaiser Permanente of Washington. May require local travel.
Essential Responsibilities:


  • Provides treatment to patients referred by and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The care is specified under a treatment plan.

  • Documents and communicates treatment given and patients progress as required by KPWA. Advises referring therapist of difficulties, problems or indications for change or modification of the treatment procedures as indicated by patient responses. Refers patients to/consults with licensed Physical Therapist for discharge evaluation and periodic re-evaluations as required by practice act or insurance.

  • Remains current in recent developments in physical therapy techniques and procedures.

  • Contributes to the efficiency and productivity of the organization by managing own workload autonomously (scheduling, consultation, participation in non-direct patient care activities as needed or assigned). This could include clinic cleaning and equipment monitoring.

  • Patient Experience: Delivers care that meets or exceeds service excellence standards.


Basic Qualifications: Experience

  • N/A

Education
  • Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
License, Certification, Registration
  • Physical Therapist Assistant License (Washington) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
Additional Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of relevant clinical practice in physical therapy developed through clinical coursework, internships or previous work experience under a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer/patient service,
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • May require local travel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years experience in an outpatient PT facility
