Job Summary:
Provide diagnostic CT services to include duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served to include; routine, urgent, emergent, biopsy, and/or special procedure examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Administer contrast media as directed, in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Communicate all necessary information to other members of the health care team.
- Perform Quality Assurance functions and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Participate in on-call or standby schedule.
- Perform necessary tasks with PACs.
- Perform file work, reception tasks, and computer work. Process films.
- Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Assist with patient transport as needed.

Education
- A minimum two (2) year AMA approved Radiologic Technology program to include ARRT certification and state licensure.
License, Certification, Registration
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) OR Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire
- Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
Additional Requirements:
- Completion of a formal RTR training program and minimum one (1) year prior radiology work experience. Experience must be no more than three (3) years prior to the date of application for position.
- Proof of continuing education.
- Attendance at CT related continuing education courses.
- Demonstrates customer-focused service skills.
- Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills with peers and administration.
- Performs all functions at a high level of competence without direct supervision.
- Must comply with Regional protocol for on-site response to call backs (Ref. P&P DR012).
- IV Certification will be obtained during orientation period (Kaiser Permanente).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous CT experience.
- Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
- Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations; able to work independently.
- Knowledge of Policies and Procedures.
- Adaptability; flexibility.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Notes:
- This is a float position with variable days and hours to provide coverage to SMC.
