We have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Operations Lead to join our company working directly with the Director of Technology. Position is a full-time salaried role with comprehensive benefits. 

Location: Greater New York City Area

Salary Range - $80,000 - $95,000 plus benefits

The ideal candidate is someone with the aptitude to learn and be self-taught on many different cloud solutions. You should be excited working with a variety of cloud technologies. This role is broad in nature but requires immense curiosity to dive deep into solving business problems by using automation, reporting, or solutions that don't yet exist. If you are an analytically minded technology person, who enjoys getting into the weeds, while also having an important voice in our overall strategy, we want to speak with you.

This role is remote; however periodic travel (VERY LIMITED) into our Manhattan offices is required. Tri-State area applicants only please, relocation is not available.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • A Technical Lead's time is dedicated to building our internal business solutions both at the strategic and tactical levels. You will be responsible for creation, administration, deployment and adoption of internal JDA TSG technology initiatives.
  • Work directly with Director of Technology and SVP – Business Intelligence and Applications in driving and owning both tactical and strategic projects and activities 
  • Co-administer all primary business cloud solutions for (Salesforce, O365, HR) and secondary cloud solutions where needed 
  • Build Power Automation
  • Build Power-BI Reporting
  • Build and administer a ticketing and asset management system which prioritizes and tracks requests to resolution.
  • Own and resolve new hire and ongoing software technical support (tactical) 
  • New hardware requests 
  • Hardware warranty claims 
  • Provide concierge style support to our Management and Executives
  • Build and maintain categories and purchasing sources for new user hardware based on role - focusing on cost control, availability, and feature set 
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions with cost/benefit analysis 
  • Licensing administration and efficiency monitoring 
  • Assist in creating short how to videos for internal users (must be comfortable creating and editing/posting including voice over) 

Must Have:
  • Strong thirst for technology, and desire to be a continuous learner 
  • The ability to adapt and learn new solutions with little to no experience with that solution 
  • Trustworthiness to administer critical systems 
  • Experience teaching common yet sometimes complex skills with patience and understandable language to a laymen audience
  • Comfortable communicating with senior leadership 
  • Troubleshooting (logic and reasoning) skills 
  • Proactive thinker who excels in prioritizing a range of initiatives with strong organizational skills

Technical Requirements
  • Microsoft Power Automation experience (intermediate level preferred)
  • Microsoft O365 Admin experience 
  • Enterprise CRM experience (Dynamics or Salesforce) 
  • Able to create queries and build meaningful reporting
  • Report creation and clear understanding of query mechanics 

Nice to Have: 
  • Helpdesk ticketing software (admin level) 
  • Asset Management experience 
  • Microsoft SharePoint (building sites – coding is not required) 
  • Video producing and editing 

What This Role is Not:
  • This is not a Network Administrator, or a robotic IT Technical role.   
  • You do not need to know how to code, however, with regards to automation you must be able to use the Microsoft Power Automation platform and methodologies.
  • It is not a Hardware Engineering role, but rather we are looking for you to have the knowledge to advise or troubleshoot hardware and peripherals at a user level.  
  • We are not looking for a helpdesk troubleshooter, however, there will be some light helpdesk related activity this role will own.   
  • We are not seeking a Database Administrator or Analyst, however, having the ability to create queries and build meaningful reporting is a must have skill set.
