Intertek is searching for a Program Coordinator to join our Certification Electrical team in our Arlington Heights, IL office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in our Certification Department!
Intertek's Electrical team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification for a variety of electric products, including appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, information communications technology, HVACR, industrial, and energy transmission and distribution. What are we looking for?
This Program Coordinator position is responsible for functionally leading a full range of customer service, administrative and coordination duties as well as data evaluation and processing for our Intertek Energy Efficiency Certification Department. This includes, but is not limited to, Certification contracts and quotes, database maintenance and recordkeeping, market surveillance and notification delivery. This position requires a person that exhibits effective communication skills, works independently within a supportive team and will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of Certification and Surveillance Services functions.
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $23.50 - $25.50. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
What you'll do:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of energy efficiency certification programs (ENERGY STAR, Natural Resources Canada) and related services (DoE, CEC)
- Ensure on-time completion of surveillance (verification) requirements for the ENERGY STAR and NRCan certification schemes
- Work with internal groups related to Association Certification Programs (AHRI, AHAM, etc.) in areas where they intersect with energy efficiency certification
- Accountable for validation of energy efficiency products for assigned categories
- Lead the renewal and recertification process for new and existing customers
- Thorough review of report and data submissions before processing to various agencies
- Update and maintain customer database to reduce errors
- Maintain excellent customer service by actively following up with internal and external parties

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years administrative experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in related field
