Intertek is looking for Multiple Inspectors across various disciplines to join our Technical Inspection Services (TIS) team for a special upcoming project in Squamish, BC Canada.  This project is anticipated to begin work in October 2023 and may last 2 to 3 years. Please note, we are only accepting resumes at this time. 

*The position will work on a 6 weeks on/2 weeks off OR a 6 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation schedule.*

The Inspector shall report to the Quality Engineer and will lead the inspection team at the assigned jobsite. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality requirements of the Construction Quality Plan for the relevant scope of work are documented and approved, verifying the work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, policies, procedures, drawings, and specific contract requirements, and the oversight of multidiscipline inspection personnel, conducting assessments, inspections, and surveillance and testing activities at the assigned jobsite and for regularly interfacing with Company representatives in their assigned areas. 

Positions Needed: 

  • Structural Inspector
  • Civil Inspector
  • Mechanical Inspector
  • Electrical/Instrument/Telecoms Inspector
  • NDE Inspector
  • Piping Inspector (Must hold a current CWB Level 2 or 3 Welding Inspector certificate)
  • Coatings and Insulation Inspector (Must hold a current NACE CIP Level 2 or 3 Certification)
  • Dimensional Control Inspector (3 Years of survey experience required)

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Detailed required qualifications will be provided at a later date
  • Experience in LNG projects in Canada.
  • Experience in large-scale capital projects by performing regular audits and critical inspections as and when required.
  • Detailed knowledge of Canadian Codes and Standards.
  • Has clearly demonstrated strong Quality Assurance competence.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment in both national and international team environments.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • Expertise in Welding, NDT systems and ISO auditing is preferred.
  • Have good, computer and communication skills.
