Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team provides asset life management support to infrastructure, facilities, and equipment through the conception, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning phases. Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis to provide you with Total Quality Assurance.
What are we looking for?
The I & E Inspector will implement Initial QA verification of electrical power circuits and equipment. Review submitted maintenance procedures for control and automation systems, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline applications, compressor stations, pump stations, plant operations and measurement facilities

What you'll do:
- Duties include installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment. Along with completing all appropriate documentation associated with the duties.
- Performs Inspection and Maintenance (I&M) checks on installed control systems.
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
- Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
- Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.
- Assure maintenance of electrical switch gear and power distribution
- Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
- Stay up to date on Operations Qualifications and required training.

What is takes to be successful in this role:
- Two-year Associate's Degree in job related technical training or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years' experience in operating and maintaining Natural Gas Engines and compressors. (preferred)
- Working knowledge of National Electric Codes
- Proficient with electronic test instruments
- Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals
- Knowledge and experience preparing drawings of electrical circuits
- Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams
- Knowledge and experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
- Excellent computer and organizational skills a must
- Self-motivated driven individual a must
- Must be able to apply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards/specifications/procedures on the provided job scopes and evaluate test results
- Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors
- Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors (preferred)
- Ability to solve technical issues in the field.
- Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems. (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with electronic equipment, high pressure gas, processing equipment, pumps and reciprocating or gas turbine engines and compressors. (preferred)
- Familiar with Refinery and plant equipment and systems. (preferred)
