Customer Service Representative - Onsite with minimal/ occasional travel

Intertek Government and Trade Services (GTS) supports governments to implement importing standards, securing imports, and facilitating exports. Intertek helps clients safely meet governmental requirements and deliver products to their customers on time.

What are we looking for?

The Customer Service Representative reports to the Sales Engineering Manager and is responsible for responding to leads from potential customers regarding Intertek's service offerings and requests for quotes.  This position is also responsible for responding to inquiries from current customers regarding the status of projects, etc.

Shift/Schedule:  Normal   Business Hours, Mon to Fri, 8 am to 5 pm

What you'll do:

  • Respond to leads from potential customers by answering questions about Intertek's service offerings and providing pricing/quotations, either independently or in conjunction with operations and/or sales engineering
  • Respond to inquiries from current customers regarding the status of projects.
  • Provide pricing/quotes to current customers with regard to certification updates.
  • Identify potential new customers via research and networking.
  • Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years customer service experience, preferably in a technical environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be customer focused and quality driven
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
  • Physical dexterity to perform all clerical functions inherent to the position
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Valid and Current Driver's License is Required
