Job Responsibilities:
- The Surgical Technologist 1 demonstrates knowledge and practice of basic patient care concepts.
- Demonstrates basic surgical case preparation skills.
- Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the role of the first scrub on all basic surgical cases.
- Demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis. Demonstrates the application of the principles of aseptic technique.
Requirements for Consideration:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Recent Hospital experience and/or previous practice experience
- Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire. Registration must be completed within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support form AHA required upon start.
