Description
Position Description: The Training Supervisor will be responsible for conducting orientations, ensuring each shift is equipped with sufficient trainers, assisting with the administration of the training management system, and training new associates on technical skills as well as appropriate safety behaviors. Additionally, the Training Supervisor will assist in the management of the document system for operational training guides, SOPs and job hazard analysis. Responsibilities: * Conduct training primarily at Joliet, IL location, though may require travel to support remote locations as needed * Lead a team of trainers to ensure all training requirements are met across each shift * Facilitate implementation of new WMS, QMS, and other copack systems as needed * Facilitate forklift/MHE training on an as needed basis for new and existing associates * Assist with the JotForm system for site enhancement and needs * Work as a member of the Safety and Emergency Response Team * Perform CPR or first aid when needed * Participate in and evaluate the effectiveness of regular workplace inspections/audits * Assist in the preparation and execution of internal inspections/audits as required * Maintain training status to meet site KPI * Track and assist in new hire communications, roundtable discussions, and the evaluation process until the associate is qualified * Assist with the administration of the training management system to include recording, auditing, and conducting training * Assist with the development and implementation of training materials and programs * Observe and check in with new hires to ensure acclimation to the copack environment and role * Assist in facilitating forklift evaluations * Periodic trips to the production and warehouse floor to audit and observe safe behaviors * Other duties as assigned Benefits: * Medical, Dental, Vision (1 day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time Salary Range: $62,000 - $74,000 (based on experience) * 1 year of experience in a training and supervisor role * High school diploma or equivalent experience * Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the organization * Detail-oriented with a capacity for critical thinking and problem solving * Bi-lingual is a plus but not required * Experience training or mentoring required * Strong presentation and facilitation skills are required * Ability to understand and convey business issues and technical concepts * Strong sense of team mentality and reliability * Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint * Able to deploy safety & security practices, policies, and deescalate / control hostile situations * Knowledge of safety (personal and food) programs, policies, and systems * Must have a working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices * Ability to perform root cause analysis and provide effective recommendations to mitigate risks Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
