Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee Quality and Food Safety operations within the warehouse. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards while managing a team of hourly employees. As the site expert, the Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence in quality and food safety. Work Location: This role is an on-site role without opportunity for hybrid or remote work. The physical site location is in West Jefferson, OH. Work Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm Work Travel: 0% Key Responsibilities Quality Management System (QMS): Implement, manage, and review the QMS to meet regulatory, customer, and company requirements. Ensure ongoing suitability and drive system improvements. Audits and Compliance: Act as the authority for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000). Obtain and maintain applicable certifications. Leadership & Oversight: Manage Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams, overseeing daily operations, training, and adherence to policies. Ensure effective safety, environmental, and pest control programs. Customer Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality resources, addressing requirements and resolving quality issues promptly. Corrective Actions: Oversee the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program to ensure timely resolution of nonconformance issues and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions. Training & Development: Conduct facility-wide quality and food safety training. Ensure team readiness to meet regulatory and customer expectations. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports on quality compliance, system performance, and improvement opportunities. Maintain site-specific documentation for audits and regulatory purposes. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to drive quality, efficiency, and compliance. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in a related field * 5+ years of experience in contract packaging, warehousing, or manufacturing. * Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, PCQI, GFSI (e.g., BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000), and AIB standards. * Proficiency in food safety principles and quality management practices. * Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage deadlines effectively. * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proficiency in relevant software tools. Preferred Qualifications: * 3PL industry experience is strongly preferred. * Bachelor’s degree preferred. * Food grade warehousing experience. * Proficiency or willingness to learn computer-based tools, including spreadsheets and statistical quality control systems.
