Description
The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Schedule: Weekend Shift Friday - Sunday 7:00am - 7:30pm (12 Hour) Compensation: $30.00 per hour Status: Non-Exempt Responsibilities: * Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility. * Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same. * Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions. * Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. * Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. * Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager. * Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same. * Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment. * Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc. * Daily inventory counts * Moving equipment from building to another building * Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. * Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned.
